This pair of antique Spanish terracotta urns are perfect for those who enjoy the beauty of earth toned, hand made clay vessels. Circa 1900, from southern Spain these urns have a smooth surface, and rounded bottoms. Based on the time period we know that these urns were born in an era of agriculture expansion for the community of Andalusia and most likely used to hold water. The outsides are unglazed and un-decorated, marked with wear consistent with use. One vessel bears a lighter shade upper potion suggesting it lived for some time wrapped in a fabric, possibly with a loop handle. The insides appear to be coated in glaze, that dripped onto parts of the outside during application. These two Spanish antique urns have character that demands attention in your lovely garden.
